1. Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, or using Watch'n'Roll (“App”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind that organization.
2. Provider
The App is provided by Dominic Savio Fernandes (“we”, “us”). Our legal details (including address) are available in the Impressum. Support and legal contact: support@watchnroll.com.
3. The service, availability & updates
Watch'n'Roll is a movie and TV discovery app that provides browsing, search, likes, watchlists, and friend-based swiping sessions. The App also offers an AI chat feature for recommendations and discovery.
- Availability: The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues.
- Updates: We may provide updates and changes to maintain security, comply with law, fix bugs, and improve the App. Where legally required, we will provide necessary updates (including security updates).
- Changes: We may change or discontinue features if necessary (e.g., security, legal compliance, or to improve the service). Material changes are addressed under “Changes to Terms”.
4. Eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the App.
- You must comply with applicable laws and with Apple/Google store rules while using the App.
5. Accounts
- You are responsible for all activities under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep access credentials secure.
- We may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts to protect the App, other users, or to comply with law and platform requirements.
6. User content (watchlists, likes, sharing)
You may create and share content such as watchlists, likes, and related metadata (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content.
- License to operate the App: By using the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your User Content solely to operate, maintain, improve, and provide the App and its social features (including sharing with users you choose).
- Your responsibility: You are responsible for your User Content and must ensure it does not violate law or third-party rights.
- Moderation: We may remove User Content or restrict sharing where necessary to protect users, the service, or to comply with law or platform rules.
7. Third-party content, metadata & TMDB
Watch'n'Roll displays content metadata sourced from third parties (e.g., TMDB). Availability, ratings, cast/crew, and descriptions may change. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content or services.
TMDB attribution and disclaimer are provided in the Credits page and within the App where applicable.
8. AI features
The App may offer AI-powered features (e.g., chat and recommendations). AI output is generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not suitable for your specific situation.
- AI output is for discovery/entertainment and does not constitute professional advice.
- Do not rely on AI output as a guarantee of accuracy or availability.
- Do not enter sensitive personal data into AI prompts.
9. Advertising
The App may display banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. Where required, ads and ad measurement are enabled only with your consent. Premium may remove ads (see below).
10. Premium & subscriptions
- Premium can remove ads and enable higher or unlimited AI chat usage, as described in the App.
- Purchases are processed by Apple App Store / Google Play and may be managed via RevenueCat. We do not directly process your payment card details.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled in your Apple/Google account settings before the end of the current billing period.
- Billing, cancellations, refunds: Billing, price changes, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their policies. We do not control store billing or refund decisions.
- Subscription pricing, billing periods, and cancellation options are shown in the store checkout flow.
11. Rules of use
- No illegal use, harassment, hate, threats, or abuse.
- No impersonation, fraud, or attempts to access other users' accounts.
- No attempts to reverse engineer, bypass security, interfere with the App, or misuse APIs.
- No scraping or automated data extraction unless we explicitly allow it in writing.
- No infringement of intellectual property or other third-party rights.
- No pornographic content: Watch'n'Roll is not intended to distribute pornographic content and such content is not allowed within the App's user content/sharing features.
12. Privacy & consent
Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Where required by law, certain features (e.g., ads measurement, analytics, and region tailoring) are only activated with your consent and can be adjusted in the App settings.
13. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under mandatory product liability laws, and in cases of fraudulent concealment or an expressly assumed guarantee.
In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties). In that case, our liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage.
Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
14. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if it is necessary to protect the App or other users, or to comply with legal or platform requirements.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected.
